Give your students opportunities to think about math in fun, relevant ways.

It's that time of year when the jackets come out of the closet and the iced coffee orders give way to pumpkin spice lattes. Fall is here!
To help you celebrate, we're sharing three fall-themed activities you can use with your students to get them thinking about mathematics in a festive way.
Fall-themed middle school math activities
- The Pumpkin-iest!: Students use their fraction skills to help Paige make the perfect pumpkin smoothie.
- Piper's Pumpkin Patch: Students help determine the number of pumpkins that can be picked in Piper's Pumpkin Patch (say that 5 times fast!).
High school math activity for Fall
- Punkin' Chunkin' with Quadratic Equations: Ever heard of punkin' chunkin'? Your students probably have, and they can model the motion of a pumpkin released from a catapult using a vertical motion model.
